Dearest readers, the Holiday season is upon us, and while some of us are going to delay gift shopping until the last possible moment, I think everyone is already thinking about it. Oh, and while retailer commercials are showing moms buying dozens of expensive items in one go, the fact of the matter is completely different. The fact is that most of us know way too many people for whom we need to buy gifts, and not everyone is going to get an equally expensive for you. Once you get to the gifts under $100 or even under $50, it's tough to decide what to get that's not really lame or just another gift card. Recently, a friend convinced me to look at and go for a gift category that is the best bang for your buck and good enough gift for most people out there. I'll go over what it is, show some examples and mention the intrinsic benefits of giving and owning these gifts. Oh, and this is not sponsored by anyone, so enjoy an impartial, non-sponsored blog post! :)
Without further delay, I am talking about silver bullion! :) By that, I mean pure silver coins, wafers, bars and similar products made by reputable, world-famous manufacturers. Now, before you start thinking that these gifts are lame, old-fashioned or not sexy enough, let me convince you otherwise. First, the variety of manufacturers guarantee there's all kinds of shapes, sizes, styles and designs for the coins and bars. Second, even the cheapest coins and bars are big and look really beautiful . Third, silver is a precious metal that can appreciate over time as its price goes up and this long lasting value is something most other gifts in this category simply don't have. Finally, many people like the idea of having a lucky coin because all of us pursue luck and wealth to some degree, and coins have long been used as a symbol and a focus point for that.

My favorite among these is the one with the crowned lion on it and is normally over $100 Canadian Dollars, but nevertheless I think the pictures serve well to strengthen my case. These are pretty neat, and packaged well together with a cool Xmas or Holidays card, one or a few of them will put a smile on most people's faces :)
Oh, and here's another great point about these- there's no tax on them (at least that's how it is in Canada)!! :) So, dearest readers, go for it and thank me later for the wonderful advice ;)
